Linda Mosher, Councillor, District 17, Halifax Regional Municipality

Linda Mosher was elected in 2000 and re-elected in 2004, to represent District 17, Purcell's Cove - Armdale. Linda considers District 17 home, having spent the majority of her life living and attending school in the area.

Before becoming a full time Councillor in 2001, Linda worked for sixteen years in the field of pharmaceutical sales and marketing. During this time she was actively involved in the formation and management of several health advisory boards and initiatives.

When Linda’s not working, she enjoys being active in the community through various sports and recreational activities. As a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Linda volunteers as an instructor and is the past president and founding member of a charitable Tae Kwon Do Association.

Linda admires the Salvation Army’s work, particularly in the disaster response area. She saw this firsthand in the Army’s relief response to the Purcell’s Cove fires in the spring of 2009. Join Linda on the campaign trail this holiday season as she works to kick-start the Stocking Stuffer Election in Halifax!
